We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the Newsletter over the past five years, sharing your local language news with the rest of the South West region. Your input has been invaluable!

Good teachers deserve recognition!

La Jolie Ronde and Scholastic are delighted to announce the launch of the Primary Language Teacher Award for 2009 which was won last year by Nicola Davies of Green Lane Primary School, Garforth, Leeds.

Diploma in Languages - Seeking young people's opinions

Dear colleague,

As part of the development of the Diploma in Languages, we are seeking young people's opinions on its constituent elements, alongside two other Diplomas in Science and Humanities.

A survey of learners is now live and can be accessed via Pye Tait's SurveyZone™

We would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes to participate in this survey and make sure that the Diploma in Languages has content which is appealing and relevant to young people.

Many thanks,
